ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Abstract Policies & Regulations

With the submission of an abstract to the ENRIS 2025 Conference, the presenting author:

  • Accepts responsibility for the accuracy of the submitted abstract.
  • Accepts to be the contact person for all correspondence regarding the abstract and informs co-authors of its status.
  • Confirms that all authors are aware of and agree to the content of the abstract and support the data presented.
  • Releases the copyright on behalf of all authors to ENRIS and gives permission for the abstract, when selected for presentation, to be published in an ENRIS abstract book. The copyright of the abstract remains with the author(s).
  • Commits to register and attend ENRIS 2025 if the abstract is selected*. Costs associated with the submission and presentation of an abstract are the responsibility of the presenter. Selected abstracts will only be published in the ENRIS abstract book if an author is registered and attends the conference in person.

* In case the presenting author is not able or available to present the accepted abstract, a co-author must be appointed to present the abstract and must be registered, please inform the ENRIS 2025 Congress Secretariat abstracts@enris2025.org about this change.

General Information & Deadlines

  1. According to the instructions below, abstracts must be submitted electronically via the online submission system by Wednesday, 5 February 2025. Abstracts received by e-mail or after the deadline will not be accepted, and therefore cannot be considered for the programme or publication.
  2. Abstracts may be submitted on the following topics:

Please select one topic which refers to the main subject of the abstract. You are encouraged to draw inspiration from the subtopics listed below when preparing your abstract for submission under the specified topic.

1. OPERATIONS

  • Operation of Facilities and Fabs
  • Energy savings and Sustainability aspects
  • Contingency plans (emergency, power outages, spare parts, …)
  • Tool obsolescence, tool updates and facility upgrades
  • Best practices

2. ACCESS AND USER TRAINING

3. Select a preferred presentation method upon submission:

    • Oral presentation
    • Poster presentation
    • Oral/Poster presentation

4. Corrections to the abstracts can be made only before the deadline of 5 February 2025.

5. Abstracts will be reviewed by reviewers and selected for either oral or poster presentation. A preference for oral or poster presentations must be indicated when submitting the abstract. However, the final decision on how the abstract is presented will be made by the reviewers.

6. Accepted abstracts will be published in the Abstract Book. Please have your abstract checked for correct spelling, punctuation, grammar, and formal structure. The organiser reserves the right to edit abstracts, if necessary, prior to publication in the Abstract Book.

7. All submitters and presenting authors will receive an acceptance notification via e-mail by Wednesday, 5 March 2025.

8. All presenting authors are required to register by Wednesday, 26 March 2025. Registration along with payment of the registration fee is required by this date for the abstract to be included in the conference programme and published in the Abstract Book. Should the author fail to comply with either of these items, the organiser reserves the right not to include the author’s work in the conference programme or the Abstract Book.

Abstract Formatting

  1. All abstracts must be written in English. If your abstract is accepted for an oral presentation, you must be able to give your presentation in English and answer questions from the audience.
  2. When submitting your abstract, consider and select the scientific topic (see above) and the preferred presentation method.
  3. The number of submitted abstracts per one submitter/author is not limited. There is no restriction on the number of presentations where a conference participant is listed as a co-author and participants can act as a chair.
  4. Up to 20 co-authors per abstract can be submitted under one abstract (including the presenting author). E-mail address, institutional affiliation, city, and country must be filled in. If necessary, the order of co-authors can be changed by swapping the names.
  5. Please select one of the two indicated abstract text options in the abstract submission.
    • Use the first abstract option if your content does not include any pictures or charts. In this case, the text should be limited to 400 words.
    • Use the second abstract option if your content includes pictures or charts (maximum of 2 visuals per abstract). The text should be limited to 250 words.
  6. The abstract title is limited by 20 words and must be submitted using the Title Case (e.g. ‘My Abstract about ENRIS 2025 Will Be Presented in Bologna’).
  7. A short biography of the presenting author is required and should not exceed 100 words.
  8. Up to 2 pictures/charts are allowed within the abstract text (optional). Please check carefully if your picture was uploaded successfully.
