4th European Symposium on Nanofabrication Research Infrastructure

We are looking forward to see you on May 13-15, 2025 in the beautiful historical city of Bologna for the 4th edition of the ENRIS Conference jointly organized by It-fab, the Italian Network of Nano- and Microfabrication.
The Conference is organized under the leadership of Stefano Zampolli (Chair of Local Organising Committee) and Thomas Swahn (Chair of Programme Committee).
ENRIS (European Symposium on Nanofabrication Research Infrastructure) is a biannual international symposium on nanofabrication cleanroom operation, management and user training organised every two years by EuroNanoLab.
The preparations are underway.

On the campus in Via Gobetti there are a total of nine Institutes belonging both to the CNR and to the Italian National Astrophysics Institute (INAF) together with the “Dario Nobili” Library, Conference Centre and Ancillary Services.
The Bologna Research Area holds also: Tecnopolo Bologna CNR with MISTER and PROAMBIENTE laboratories, ART-ER (Attractiveness Research Territory), Innovation Accelerators and EIT Climate-KIC.

2017
The first edition of ENRIS, the international symposium on nanofabrication cleanroom operation, management, and user training, was held in 2017 in Trondheim (Norway) on May 8-9. The event jointly organized by EuroNanoLab and the Nordic Nanolab Network featured a day and a half of presentations and discussions related to cleanrooms.

2019
Following ENRIS 2017, the second ENRIS meeting was hosted by MESA+ Institute for Nanotechnology, University of Twente in Enschede (the Netherlands) on June 16-18, 2019. The two-day event filled with interesting presentations and discussions on cleanroom-related topics such as cleanroom operation, management, and user training, was attended by approximately 160 participants from over 27 countries.

2023
ENRIS is an international symposium on cleanroom operation, management and user training organised every two years by the European consortium EURONANOLAB (euronanolab.eu). It was held in Trondheim (NO) in 2017 and in Enschede (NL) in 2019. The 3rd edition, ENRIS 2023, is organised in Paris-Saclay (FR) by the C2N laboratory – a member of the French network of academic cleanrooms RENATECH – which owns the largest French academic cleanroom.
